Parker's Christmas Party

Today was party day at school, and I was one of five mom's in charge of putting it together. The boys have acted a fool at past parties, usually because the food isn't stuff they life, so they just run amuck. I made sure this party was all food they like : ) Between PB&J, Chick-Fil-A nuggets, fruit, ham biscuits, M&Ms, cheese puffs, and cake, all the kids were in Heaven! They had a gift exchange between the kids, which they enjoyed very much. We also had ornamnets they could make Christmas trees they could decorate. It was a fun time! The Christmas carols they sang at the beginning were the best part though. Bryce joined the rest of the kids, although he just stood there and looked at everyone! There was also a surprise visit from Santa, which of course was a big hit!

Christmas Town at Busch Gardens

Saturday we ventured on over to Busch Gardens to enjoy Christmas Town. It was cold, but the boys were excited :) They didn't ride too many rides, but were super excited to ride the sky buckets and see all the lights and the train that took us the whole way around the park while listening to Christmas Carols, admiring all the lights, watching it snow, and even seeing a few deer. After about 3 hours, the boys were frozen and we couldn't get to the car fast enough!

Let it snow!

It has snowed three times now. The first was a dusting, then Monday it snowed pretty good but it had rained so it didn't stick to the roads thankfully, and then it snowed hard for several hours today. The boys have loved every bit of it. They begged to go outside today, and since there was no wind, I bundled them up after lunch and we headed outside until they couldn't take it any longer! We ran around, made snowballs, ate some snow, drew in the snow, and raked the snow. It was so peaceful....

Decorating the Tree

The boys were so excited to decorate this year. Bryce couldn't really help last year, and Parker wasn't all that interested, but this year they could hardly stand to wait. Granddad from Georgia moved here just days before, so the boys absolutely loved having him over to decorate with us :) Bryce has already broken more ornaments than I can count...thank God for superglue!

Parker and Kylie

Her mother and I have agreed to never, ever leave them alone together, haha

Monster Jam

We were all very excited for the Monster Jam truck show. I thought the boys were going to have a heart attack when we walked through the doors and saw the trucks---they had NO IDEA how big these trucks really are. We were there about an hour before the show started, but we got to see mini bikes and rc cars and trucks. They really liked the guys doing tricks and flips on the motor bikes. I think the biggest hit for Parker was the fire breathing dragon that tore a car to pieces. Bryce sat pretty quietly and took it all in. We were there wayyyyyyy past bed time, but I don't think either one of them ever asked if it was almost over or made any mention of wanting to leave or go to bed...go figure, right? I knew I would enjoy it, but I enjoyed it much more than I thought I would!

Field Trip to the Fire Station

Last Wednesday Parker's class had a field trip to Station 1 in Portsmouth. This is a change from last year because the 3-year-old class has the truck come to them in the parking lot of the school, but the 4-your-olds get to go to the station----so exciting! Bryce was super excited too, decked out in his boots and fire hat :) They had a tour through the fire station, got to see a fire fighter in full gear and see the ladder extended up in the air, and all the kids got a turn using a fire hose. They had soooooo much fun!

Trick-or-Treat

The boys definitely had a great time trick-or-treating this! Bryce enjoyed dressing up, but did not care so much about the candy. Parker was very well aware of the candy he was collecting, and actually was out and about for a good amount of time. It was exhausting for us, but a lot of fun watching the boys have such a good time!
