Mommy and her college roommate and best friend, Amy, have been planning a weekend together with our boys, collectively ages 4, 3, 2, and 1, for awhile. We orignally planned for August, but when Guy made plans for a camping trip this past weekend, we decided it would give us a little more privacy, and not drive him nuts with four boys running around here. Of course, his plans got canceled last minute due to 6 inches of water, which would make it very hard to canoe, haha. Fortunely, we all stayed busy and didn't cross paths too much. Friday Amy and the boys got in around 3, and it took awhile for Parker and Tripp to warm up---Tripp gave him a run for his money! They are sooo much alike--he's never quite had anyone stand up to him like Tripp did :) Baxter and Bryce are so chill, they got in the mix a few times, but were content to just sit back and watch the older boys. Saturday morning we headed to the beach and the kids had a blast. Parker and Tripp would have totally stayed all day, but our little ones were ready to nap. We ate at McDonalds on the way out and took them home for naps. After dinner the boys played outside, and Cameron and Kyla stopped by to play for a few minutes. When bathtime came around, we threw all four naked boys in the baby pool with some bubble bath and let them play away! Sunday morning we headed to Grandma and Pappy's pool, where they not only got to swim, but ride power wheels, razor scooters, and the slip n' slide---the funnest house ever! Amy and the boys were heading back Sunday night, so after naps we headed to the play area at MacArthur (way too hot to play outside) and let the boys wear themselves out. We ate dinner at the mall, let them check out the fountains downstairs, headed back to our house for ice cream, and they got on the road. Parker moped around the house for a good while, so sad that his friends were gone. He has tried to convince me to make the 4-hour drive today to go visit them, haha. Looking forward to our next visit with the Paynters!
