When did Bryce start watching TV??

Bryce isn't too big on breakfast, so the most effective way to get him to eat is to put his plate on the little picnic table we have in the dining area, and he goes back and forth between playing and eating. This morning I made his breakfast and came into the office, and thought it seemed rather quite, besides the TV. So I went to see what he was doing and found him sitting on the floor in the den with his plate between his legs, watching TV....

Is Daddy a Horse??

This isn't easy for daddy after a long day at work, but boy do our babies love it! Bryce cried every time he tried to tell him no more...

Parker is so funny!

So, I'm in my office working, and Parker comes in and says, "don't come in here," meaning into the den, which is code for I did something I shouldn't have. I ask "why?' and he says, "I made a tent," code for I took all the cushions off the couches and piled them on the floor. I say "Parrrrkerrr!" and he says, "Just calm down, I will clean it up before daddy gets home." Gotta love the little monster!

Bryce's 1st Haircut

Bryce is almost 19 months old, and I have always LOVED his hair. His hair is to die for...beautiful curls, beautiful color, long.....hard to handle at times, but I love it. I never thought I would have a son with long hair, haha, but I really loved his. Guy has been wanting to cut it for months, but I wouldn't let him--Bryce is my last baby, and he will look too big if we cut his hair, I want him to stay my baby! I'm so over hearing Guy talk about cutting his hair one day while I'm gone, and recently, too many people have told me what a beautiful little girl I have--even when he's dressed boy from head-to-toe. I'm not lying when I tell you that I cried, like a baby, while his beautiful curls were being shaved off. I teared up even thinking about cutting before we did it. I didn't want to waste my time having it cut because I figured he wouldn't sit still ---he hates to even have his hair combed --- and that trying to have it cut in a style would probably end up a disaster, so we just shaved it all off. He did okay, was pretty squirmy, but you can't really mess up when you're just shaving it all off. It's still growing on me, but he looks adorable still. It's a whole new world for him not having to look through his hair! When he reached up and felt his head, he looked at me and reached over to feel PArker's because he realized they had the same hair now :) It's a huge change, but a good one.

Pumpkin Patch with Parker's Preschool class

Parker's school visited the pumpkin patch on Friday the 23rd. Parker was so excited to go with his friends, and even more excited that mommy and Bryce got to come along too! We started with the hayride....for schools and such they let them pick a small pumpkin out of a field. Parker's friend Kylie is so adorable, and asked him as they were walking to the tractor if he wanted to sit next to her on the hayride, and he said "sure." They had so much fun, and she even held onto his leg, haha. They rode together on the way back too :) Then, of course, they made their way over to the huge dirt hill, and all ended up completely covered in dirt...but they had fun!

It's okay to spoil them... :)

I had surgery on the 14th, and naturally, I was a little nervous and wanted to have a "special" day with my boys. So the day before my surgery I took them over to the mall and spoiled them a bit. They rode their favorite rides in front of Target and shared a yummy pretzel from Auntie Anne's and some french fries from Wendy's....they were in Heaven!

Pumpkin Patch

We went to the pumpkin patch about two weeks ago (sorry, I've been busy) with the family--Grandma, Jen, Ronnie and the twins, Kristy and Amaris, and Grandma and Pawpaw Toler. I didn't take too many pictures because no one was cooperating! They had a blast, even though things have changed and the hayride was just a hayride....no stopping to pick out pumpkins. As soon as we got back to pick out our pumpkins, there was a torrential down pour, so we were lucky we didn't get caught in it! The kids enjoyed running around and checking out all the pumpkins- big and small!

Parker's 1st real piggy bank money purchase!

Do you think he's excited about his Flyboat?? He loves The Wonder Pets! I told him Grandma and Pappy were going to get it for him for Christmas, but he couldn't wait. As Guy was shutting his door last night, Parker says, "Daddy, is it almost Christmas? Because I really want my flyboat." And Guy said, "It will be Christmas real soon." The first thing he said to me this morning was, "Is my flyboat here yet?!?" So I told him if he really wanted it, we could use his piggy bank money......so we were at Wal-Mart at 7:45 this morning :)

How is my baby already 18-months old???

Bryce had his 18-month check up today. He didn't want the doctor or the nurse touching him, so it was a fun visit, haha. He weighed in at 31 lbs 12 oz (90th percentile) and measured 35 3/4 in (97th percentile). His weight gain has slowed down a little, as he used to be the 97th for that as well. He's still on his way to being a tall boy :) The only shot he had today was his flu vaccination, and as you can tell from the picture, he wasn't very happy after the visit!

Me and the boys having some fun.....

I acquired some fake teeth for .25 from a machine outside of Food Lion in Harrisonburg, haha...I'm sure that's not a shocker! You can't find anything like that around here--you will easily pay $10 for some fake teeth around Halloween. I believe I "stole" the glasses from my roomie Amy...can't remember why she had them? Anyway, I used to come out of my room with the glasses and teeth on, and peek around the corner and start talking when my roomies had company over....it was hysterical! Love it! Bryce was emptying the drawers in the office this morning and came upon the stuff....they looked too funny, so I had to take some pictures :)

Ryland's 3rd birthday party

Parker's buddy Ryland just celebrated his 3rd birthday, and boy did they enjoy his party!! They had a pony and horse for the kids to ride. Both boys have ridden a pony before, at Adeline's birthday party, but that was 6 months ago, so I thought at least one of them would freak. They loved the pony, and then Parker asked to go on the big horse. I thought he would change his mind once he was up there, but nope, he loved it!! He has asked me a few time since Sunday if he can ride the big horse again!!

10-year High School Reunion

It is extremely hard to believe that I graduated from high school 10 years ago! But when I think about everything that had happened in those 10 years, I am amazed.....6 years of college, marriage and two babies....I sure was busy! Guess that's why the time flew by so quickly! The festivities began on Friday with the parade, tailgate and football game, then out for the evening at Revolution. I opted out of the football game and tailgate, but joined up with everyone at Revolution. It was a really good time, but I stayed out wayyyy toooo late! I didn't get home until 1:30am, and Bryce was up at 6:15...gotta love kids!
Saturday night was a formal dinner and drinks on the Carrie B. The turnout wasn't that great, but it was fun!! There really weren't any "random" people, mostly people I actually hung out with in high school, so we really enjoyed ourselves. It was so great to reminisce about the old days, and catch up on what everyone is doing these days!

Homecoming Parade

This past weekend was Homecoming weekend at WBHS! It's been a really long time since I've gone over there for a parade, but figured the kids would enjoy it. On Friday afternoon, we met at Kristy's and we all walked over to the school; and by all, I mean mom, Kristy, Amaris, Jen, Cam, Kyla and me and the boys. This was my 10-year reunion weekend, so we saw lots of mommy's old friends too! The varsity cheerleaders got to ride on an old firetruck and Parker was so excited....by the firetruck, not the cheerleaders :) The kids had candy and toys thrown at them, so they had a good time!
