Parker's Christmas Party

Parker's preschool class has a party for every holiday, and they usually sing a song or two. They were so adorable walking into their classroom in a line shaking their jingle bells :) They sang jingle bells, away in a manger and we wish you a mery Christmas....well, a line or two from each anyway. It was adorable regardless!! They all brought a gift for a classmate of the same gender, and they sat in a circle and passed the gifts around until the music stopped, and then got to open their gifts. They needed a little help, but it was so cute, and they all loved their presents. Ms. Pam also gave everyone a book, which they all seemed pretty excited about as well. Bryce enjoyed himself too - he always makes himself at home in Parker's classroom!

Ridem' Cowboy!

Not quite sure how Parker can even do this, as he only weighs about 2 pounds more than Bryce, haha, but they sure have fun!

Making Muffins!

Parker has been bugging me for weeks to make some bran banana muffins. My grandma used to make them when we were younger, and they are so yummy!! Parker has taken a liking to them, but I haven't made them in quite a while---mostly because every time I buy bananas they are gone before they can turn brown :) We had quite a few bananas on the counter and Parker tells me everyday that they are almost brown enough to make muffins :) So, while Bryce was napping, we pulled out everything and got to work. He was soo excited to help! I let him stir the wet ingredients, and after explaining what to do, he told me, "Momma, I think I getting the hang of this." I let him crack an egg, but then had to pick out some pieces of egg shell :) He couldn't wait to use the masher to smush up the bananas for me. He anxiously awaited the timer on the oven, and could hardly wait for a muffin. He took a bite and said, "Mmmm, Mommy, your muffins are so yummy!" I LOVE HIM!

Garden of Lights at Norfolk Botanical Garden

I've never been to see any of the lights around here in Hampton Roads during the Christmas Season. They have them in Newport News, Norfolk and Virginia Beach, but I'm not too big on the crowds, so I've never ventured out to see them. Parker is really excited about all the decorations and lights he sees this year, so I decided it would be fun to take the boys. We loaded them up, grabbed some Wendy's on the way, and headed out to the Botanical Garden. We got there before it opened so we wouldn't have to wait long --the boys ate their dinner in the car and it worked out perfectly. It really was neat, and although they weren't as excited as I thought they would be, they did seem to enjoy it :)

Cousins!

Yesterday daddy ran the Santa Shuffle 5K with Jennifer and Ronnie. Daddy really wanted us to come out and watch, but since it was in the 30 degree range, we stayed home and had Cameron and Kyla over. Boy did the four of them have some fun.....not to mention make my house look like a tornado came through :)

ElfYourself...too funny!!

Proud daddy....

Daddy and his boys watching some football......

Parker and his bike

Parker has gotten really good at riding his bike, but has never gone too far. Today I decided to take him around the neighborhood to see how long he would last. I guess he rode for about 20 minutes, and he was tired and cold, so we headed back home. He was sporting Bayden's old helmet that Uncle Jason and Bayden kindly handed over today because Bayden has grown out of it.

Picture for our Christmas card :)

So Guy and I had ourselves a mini photo session yesterday afternoon to try to get a good picture of the two of us to include on our christmas card, and I think I finally decided on my favorite :)

Family Picture

Every year around Christmas we get our family portrait. Today was the day...fun fun! You never know what you'll get with our two little ones, so we tried not to expect too much. We went in just hoping to get a half decent family picture, and if we could grab some of the two of them, each of them alone, etc., that would be a plus! They did okay at first, although Bryce was tired and very clingy to daddy, which doesn't happen too often. So we got the family picture, and then attempted the boys alone, but Bryce wasn't having it. Next, we tried daddy and the boys, and Parker decided he wasn't into it, so he's not smiling, haha. we decided to give up after that, so mommy didn't get a picture with her babies. Better luck next year!

Christmas Tree, O Christmas Tree!

I convinced Guy to pull out the Christmas tree last Saturday. The boys were so excited, and couldn't wait to help. Bryce has been fascinated with Grandma's trees the past few times we have been over there, so we knew he would love it. They hung their stockings, but other than that, they were pretty much just in the way haha. I have warned Parker several times that if he continues to take his ornaments off the tree, I am going to cut his hands off....I guess he's not too worried about losing his hands because he still takes his ornaments off :) Bryce has done well, and doesn't really touch the tree or the ornaments, just likes to unplug the tree. Parker wants the tree lit all day long.....

Sunglasses

If Bryce can get his hands on sunglasses, he will wear them, and he thinks he is so funny when he has them on :) I think he's absolutely adorable....

My little animal lover

Grandma and Pappy had some company in town a few weeks ago, so went spent the day over there, and Bryce got to play with his favorite cousin, Bear. He just loves him.... and Bear is such a trooper :0) Then Bryce got to sit at the table with the grown ups for dinner!!
